I've managed to use Filezilla to copy folders/files from my 1800T, however, if I try to play them - ie by double-clicking the .ts file, it won't play - certainly not in VLC etc. Is this because they are encrypted? If so, is there a way to decrypt?

Thanks

Hello - I'm considering buying a Humax Aura to replace my ageing FVP5000T.
I still have content on my FVP5000T - is there a simple way to copy that content to my new Aura so I can retire/reuse my FVP5000T?

I am trying (without much success!) to copy a Channel 5 programme recorded on our HDR-2000T over Christmas on to a USB stick.

I have followed the detailed instructions as given elsewhere, but when I get to the point where the red button has changed from ‘Move’ to ‘Copy’ and I press the red button, a message pops up saying “Cannot copy files due to lack of storage space”. I don’t know if it is of any relevance, but the HDD is currently showing an availability capacity of 39%.

I originally bought a 128GB USB stick, but after this hiccup, I splashed out on a 512GB stick, but to my despair, the same message appeared. The USB stick is inserted into a socket immediately below the Ethernet socket at the rear of the unit.

Does anyone have an explanation, and more importantly a solution to this frustrating problem? I have an awful suspicion that the problem may be directly related to the fact that the recording was made from channel 105, and is therefore a HD recording….

I am trying to download mp4 video files from a web browser to a formatted 128Gb usb flash drive on my 2Tb Aura. I can download them to the Download folder on the Aura's internal RAM storage successfully, but the Aura's storage is limited so I'd like to then copy them to the usb drive using the app XPlore. However, it produces an error.

I can playback pre-existing MP4 files on the usb drive (using MX Player). Are the USB sockets on the Aura read-only.

What cables do I need and do I need a special program on my laptop?

When using my Humax Aura, some program recordings have no (CRIDS) data visible. This makes it impossible to organise programs, with the aim of viewing the episodes of a program sequentially from the first Series/Episode through to latest Series/Episode.
I have now resorted to copying the programs from Humax to PC via USB-3, using X-plore app. In doing this I find there is a 'content.jh' file in each program folder copied across that includes Series/Episode, all be it very obscure. This enables me to rename each file with the correct Series/Episode on the PC. It also suggest that Aura is unable to read this data and put it along side the Program title as is does with some other programs.
This is very tedious as the write speed, Humax to USB-3, appears to be restricted by Aura to 10 MB/s, meaning that a 500MB 45min SD program takes a minute or so, 45 episode takes almost a hour.
Is there some way of speeding this up? Maybe connecting to Portable USB HDD or using the WiFi file transfer in X-plore.

I Can't copy any recording to USB. The USB flashes, but doesn't stop flashing!
Normally, I copy recordings to play on a HDR2000 in another room after renaming .recordings to recordings (removing the full stop) this has worked OK in the past.
I have formatted two USB's but it still won't work.
Any ideas please?

Hi

I have an old PVR-9200T and I would like to copy some of the recordings from it.

I tried following the instructions here, http://www.andrewdsmith.plus.com/hummy/, but could not past the Run "qmake humaxGui.pro" stage.

I also tried humaxrw, https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/humaxrw, but could not get it to work.

Any advice on what method I should use would be greatly appreciated.

Also, currently I am attaching my Humax via USB cable to my Ubuntu desktop.

Would the better approach be to find a powered IDE to USB adapter? If so can anyome recommend a cheap one?

Thanks.

Hi, I have a Humax 1100S HDR and want to move/copy some recordings to a USB stick/expansion drive to allow me to watch on another tv when I'm banished from the lounge <img src="https://myhumax.org/forum/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_smile.gif" title=":)" class="bb_smilies" /> However when I click Humax/videos although I can see both rives I can only see the content of my external drive not the internal content - except for one file I copied from the external drive. I have seen some comments that tend to say I can but another comment stating that copyright prevents me from completing this task. Advice please
