Have you checked your network settings?
If you are using a cable connection make sure you turn off "Wi-Fi" in network settings.
If you want to use Wi-Fi, disconnect network cable, turn Wi-Fi on.

Hope this helps.

Hi my FVP 5000T has lost its network connection. no wifi and ethernet port no good either. I've tried all the usual. Powering down the box and router for 5mins and pwering back up router first. Factory reset. My other networked devises are fine.

I've come to the conclusion its the motherboard as I understand it has the networking facilities on board.

Anyone know where to get one?

Hmm, in that case I might have to enable the wifi on the router, next to the nas and disable the humax wifi and pull Internet and the local network from a wired connection.

Will have a go and let you know.

MY question is will the Aura pick up the 2 networks, one wifi for the Internet and the other wired for 4k films?

I don't think that will work but perhaps you could try and report back.

My current setup is my Aura connected via Wi-Fi to my router in another room. It works fine for Internet streaming and connecting to my NAS which is wired to my router and playing media in 1080p. However, 60GB 4k films are a different matter via Wi-Fi. My plan is to move the NAS next to the Aura and connect (wire) them together via a router for better speeds. MY question is will the Aura pick up the 2 networks, one wifi for the Internet and the other wired for 4k films?

If the TV is media savvy and connected to your ethernet then you should be able to 'see' the old Humax without reference to the Aura.

Hi sorry completely new to all this: had a fvp-5000 Humax box and have recently bought an aura in another room with a new tv….there’s loads of recordings on the old box and I’d like to be able to watch them on the new box in the new room. Reading else where I see if the two boxes are on the same wifi network i might be able to watch the fvp5000 recordings on the aura albeit in SD. Is this the case and if so could anyone give me a simpletons guide of how to do it?
Looked through the threads changed some setting me but have yet to work it out!
Thqnks

Hi there. I'm looking at picking up humax aura as I'm tired of the laggy LG BX user experience but wondered how people have found using Plex.
I currently have it running on my Chromecast with Google TV with the files stored on a hard drive connected to a router but it sometimes struggles to play very large files (normally anything over 40gb). Is the aura capable of handling 4k files via Kodi?

I would have thought that any problems with large/4k files is not being caused by the Aura but by the capabilites of whichever device is being used as the server. If it's not able to transcode and transmit fast enough the Aura won't be able to playback smoothly.

I use PLEX for streaming films stored on an SSD attached to my M1 MacMini and I don't have any issues with streaming.

The only issue I have is the same with YouTube, if you pause a for too long, when you press play, the sound continues, but the picture sometimes sticks. A simple press of 10 sec rewind buts it all back in sync. This has been reported by others, but not sure if its an AURA issue or APP issue.
