Just something that may be of interest to those having problems with the AV button on the Aura remote control (usually with Sony TV's). Mine had always sent me down a blind alley since I bought the Aura over a year ago.
I recently had cause to do a factory reset (problems with STV Player - which the f/reset cured by the way).
A few days later I happened to press the AV button by accident and lo and behold a row of HDMI input boxes appeared across the bottom of the screen and I was able to scroll to the required input and press 'ok' - just like on all my other remotes.
I can only assume the Factory Reset did it.

My BT branded DTR-T2100 box is intermittently not responding to the remote control.
Seems to happen on start up from "Energy Saver". (I don't know about "Smart" or "Always Ready" power modes as I prefer the box to be using as little power as possible when not in use).

I switch on my TV using the same bt remote (batteries good) but the box will not respond to any function. I switch off the box with the button on the top of the box, it responds and shuts down, I then use the remote control to restart and it responds and so I wait the 2 minutes for it to finish loading up. I then try the remote control but nothing.

I repeat this process using the power switch on the back but get the same results, after reboot no response to remote control.

The only way I found to get the box to respond to the remote control again is to remove the power cable for 10 seconds. After plugging it back in and powering it on using the remote, waiting for it to finish loading, it then continues to function using the remote.

Anyone have this happen and possibly have the cure?

Had our Fox T2 for years and around 5 years ago replaced the handset as the buttons were unresponsive. The 2nd handset fell over on me today, all of a sudden. Battery change not effective.

I still had the original handset so after looking at https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/how-to-open-up-and-clean-remoterm-f01-control I took it apart and cleaned it, using RS contacts cleaner/lubricator. Now works. I cleaned considerable dirt off the rubber contacts; the PCB surfaces were reasonably clean.

Whilst learning the trick of separating the top and bottom of the handset via some Youtube videos, I came across one video suggesting you tried a different trick first. This was to remove the batteries, then hold down the On/Off button for at least a minute, then press each of the other keys several times. Before taking the "new" handset apart to clean it (thus providing his and hers handsets <img src="https://myhumax.org/forum/my-plugins/bb-smilies/default/icon_confused.gif" title=":?" class="bb_smilies" /> ), I tried this trick .... and it worked, without needing the handset to be cleaned!

Now this feels like a discharge of static or other charge, which would perhaps explain why the more recent handset suddenly went from fine to non-working, on pretty much all keys at the same time. And if you take it apart and clean it, you're probably also discharging any static.

So, perhaps if you've a u/s handset, try that first.

Does anyone know what the technical descripiton is of the type keys in these handsets? The rubber keys look like rubber alone, with no coating, so I am surmising a capacitance sensor of some description.

Hi all,
I've just set up a Humax Freeview box which I wish to use along side my Humax Freesat box. (Just to expand my recordings etc...).
However I've noticed that both remote controls operate each boxes! (,I.e Using the Freeview remote to power up the Freeview box also switches on the Freesat box...and vice versa...)

Is there any way around this?

Thanks,

My FVP5000t remote control will not power up the TV to show live TV from the recorder while a programme is being recorded.
I can switch the TV on with its own remote but I then get "no signal" from the recorder.
It works correctly when there is no recording being made.
Is there a solution to this?
