I've only had my Aura for a couple of weeks, but it has so far disconnected from WiFi on at least 2 occasions while on Standby. This obviously makes any remote operation impossible, such as scheduling new recordings or viewing/downloading existing ones.

My Aura is in the same room as the router, 4 meters apart with line of site. It is a modern WiFi 6 router and I have no problem with connections to any other devices.

The Aura reconnects to Wifi when I take it out of standby, and resumes normal service.

Is this a known or common issue? Any workarounds? I could potentially buy a new powerline adapter and connect via ethernet cable - but why should I?

Recently and spontaneously the Windows file manager on my Win10 desktop computer has started displaying the recordings on my Aura PVR (shown as Aura 4K Media Server). But if I try to play them via the computer using Media Monkey 5 software they won't start. If I try with Windows Media Player the computer simply freezes and Windows has to be restarted. Trying to play starting from the file manager uploads the file to an AppData file, but it still won't play.

Is playback from the Aura via wifi on a Windows computer supported?

Hi my FVP 5000T has lost its network connection. no wifi and ethernet port no good either. I've tried all the usual. Powering down the box and router for 5mins and pwering back up router first. Factory reset. My other networked devises are fine.

I've come to the conclusion its the motherboard as I understand it has the networking facilities on board.

Anyone know where to get one?

Hi, I wonder if anyone is well informed on the wi-fi modules and antennae for the FVP 4000/5000T and HDR 1000/1100S recorders.

I have an FVP 5000T which has a wi-fi problem. Setting up from factory defaults, it skips the wi-fi setup procedure and if I try to do it manually the screen message says the wi-fi network is not available, although it works with my Humax Aura and other devices (even the car outside 20 feet away through thick brick walls). Re-loading the software from a usb stick made no difference.

I suspect the antennae boards or the wi-fi module they're connected to. Does anyone know if these are common to FVP 4000/5000T and HDR 1000/1100S? Could be a cheap 1000S with the hard drive problem will donate parts if they're common.

Recently my HB1000S needs me to re-enter the wifi password every time I switch on and go to the On Demand section.
Is there any way of getting the box to remember the password?

Our 5000T PVR has been connected via LAN for couple years but moved TV and also got new fibre broadband (Fritzbox 7950ax) via ZEN Internet. Working great on all other devices, they connect without issue - phones, laptops, printer, firestick.

I've checked router is using IPV4 / WPA2(CCMP) - changed from WPA2&WPA3
PMF switched off. Presuming Humax will need to be WPA2 and IPV4 rather than IPV6 as box is several years old now.

Humax box will not find any network on WLAN - LAN works fine though when cable plugged into router. Tried resetting router, tried soft reset on Humax box but really do not want to do Hard reset and lose schedule recordings (But can be done if this is only option)

Power saving is off on Humax Box.

Anyone got any ideas on how to fix ?
Emailed Humax customer support but in mean time open to ideas -

Convinced it is the Humax issue rather than router issue but may be wrong.

Thanks again,

We have an HDR1100s (20mths old) which, for some reason yesterday, lost it's wifi connection and some recordings, it wasn't being used, but was on standby. We've had the random reboots, which will cause the loss of anything being recorded at the time, but we've never lost the wifi connection with it. The recordings lost were between 7:30pm and 9:00pm, after that it was fine.
When we tried to use the on demand bit it took us to the internet connection page and prompted the input of the wifi password. After that it gets stuck on "connecting". The TV and the Fire stick work just fine on wifi and until now so did HDR.
I'm waiting to hear back from Humax and I've switched off, unplugged, etc., to no avail. Any suggestions?

I’m using a Netgear Universal WIFI Internet Adapter with my Humax PVP 4000T and never had any problems with it until last week when the WLAN light went out. My initial attempts to reset it did not work so I took through to the room where my PC and Fritz Box Router are. I connected the Ethernet and power adaptor cables the power and LAN lights came on. I decided to unplug the power adaptor and put it into a nearer more reachable power socket and it did not light up again. I tried it in another socket and its original one and its still dead.
I searched around my bits and pieces for a similar power adapter without success. Is there and updated Netgear internet adaptor or a similar product I can get.
Oddly there was a software update for the PVP 4000T last week.

I have connected an ethernet cable to the aura box but the network settings are still showing as being connected via the WiFi. The Ethernet states 'Not connected.

I have rebooted the box a couple of times and still not connecting.

Is there anything else I need to update in the settings to get this to work.
