C4 have given a preview of their new OnDemand service, All4. The new version starts rolling out on 30 March.

    C4 launches All 4 on March 30

Channel 4 has confirmed its new digital service, branded All 4, on March 30th. The service, which replaces 4oD, and will be available via PC, iPads and iPhones from Monday.

All 4 will allow viewers to watch live Channel 4 programmes via the Now function, as well as access past programmes using the On Demand feature. It will also offer an ‘On Soon’ feature, which will allow users to watch exclusive episode premieres before their TV broadcasts. All 4 will also boast a variety of exclusive original shorts.

Richard Davidson-Houston, Head of All 4 and Digital Content, commented: “All 4 is a new kind of Channel with an unrivalled content offering. Where else can you find, whenever you want – for free – classic Box Sets, catch up TV, live TV channels, original Short programmes, TV premieres and bonus content for your favourite shows? Nowhere else. All 4 is unique. We’re beginning to redefine the category.”

Users will be able to personalise their All 4 experience by registering for a free account. It has also been revealed that O2 customers will be able to gain early access to Channel 4 digital content following a deal between the two companies.

According to Broadcast, the new version will also be coming to Sky boxes and other connected-TV devices (presumably including Humax Freetime boxes) over 2015.

It's not clear (to me) if registering is required, in order to use the service, or optional.

Registering is required, according to a very interesting piece in Drum:

...For Channel 4 to achieve its personalisation ambitions it needs data. It is why all users of All4 have to register their name, gender, date of birth as well as the option of the their address. The process has been ported over from 4oD, which had already amassed some 11 hundred optional sign-ups.

“In order to fund all the rich content and all the investment we make [into All 4]] then we need it to be an attractive destination to advertisers as well as people,” said Underwood. "The advertising component is a fundamental part [of the service] that fuels its investment."

“The ad proposition and the ad technology that we have [from 4oD] will continue to operate on All 4 but what this platform does mean is that we have far more space to create something that’s step change in terms of how content is presented.”

The ad technology mention refers to the company’s fledgling programmatic offering. Last November, Channel 4 became the first European broadcaster to launch a programmatic trading for its VOD programming with first party viewer data and has high hopes for the discipline's ability to secure larger ad deals moving forward. Dentsu Aegis media agencies Carat and Vizeum, which count Adidas, AB Inbev and BMW among their clients, are already buying targeted on-demand TV inventory via a tie-up with Channel 4.

Channel 4’s focus on viewer data is similar to Sky’s efforts to drive preicison marketing on TV through its Adsmart feature. Sky advertisers can target viewers with different ads via their connected boxes using their postcode....

Now showing as All 4 on <free time>.
I've not had much of a proper look yet but it seems to look the same as before apart from the new All 4 logo and Together with O2 at the top.
