LNB cable feed

    I believe the HUMAX FoxSat-HDR Freesat HD Recorder - 500GB has 2 tuners. Does that mean I need 2 LNBs & 2 cables?
    As you can see I'm very new to this technology.

    Generally, yes, if you want to use all the recording and trick play facility of the twin tuner. But it just the two feeds you need from two outputs on one (twin or quad output) LNB.

    However, if you only have one cable and one feed, then the box is still very useful and works adequately as a single tuner Freesat PVR. You can also use the loop-through feed (a cable needed to connect the LNB output to the second LNB input) to slightly increase your recording options (look at Graham spreadsheet utility here).
