screen went pink now nothing

I went to change the plug to a surge protection extension lead but the screen went pink with no sound and now it just comes up with a channel on the box but nothing on the TV and remote doesn't work... any ideas??

You might start by telling us what Humax box you have and how it is connected to the TV?
