    Welcome to our Forum

Strange one this, does rewinding live TV work?

    Suggestions:

    1. Factory reset - though I do not think this will have any effect
    2. HDD reformat.

However as it is brand new I would be more inclined to return to retailer for exchange.

Admin note: thread moved to 1010S area.

I take it you mean the red "R" button on the R/C. If so then I've had that happen often for no apparent reason. It happens then it clears up. I've raised it on the official Freesat forum in the past and it simply got ignored. Since it only happens on the occasional channel then I've learned to live with it as you can press the OK button and get a menu that offers recording.
However, if you're getting it as a permanent problem then follow Barry's advice.

    Thanks all.
It's a HDR 1010s. I played about with it last night and was eventually prompted to reformat the drive. Did this and it works. Thanks again
