My old recorder is a Panasonic DMR-EX773EB and my new recorder is a Humax-1000S 1TB. I have a number of programmes on the Panasonic that I want to transfer to the Humax. Can it be done and how would I go about it?

Probably, can you record from your DVDR to a rewritable DVD blank in DVD-Video format ?

The Panasonic can record into DVD-Video Graham. You could pop that into a PC's DVD drive and convert to something like MP4 then onto a USB stick and copy onto Humax HD or simply watch straight from USB.

No need to convert, the .vob files in the VIDEO_TS folder contain standard mpeg2 video. If there's more than one join them into one using TSMUXERGUI and mux to a .ts file. Because there's no video recoding it only takes a minute or so.
