    Hi

I have had a 9200T for a couple of years, and am looking at getting the DTR-T1000 YouView box.

Would I be able to run two boxes of one TV?

If the answer is Yes, how would I have to cable the system up ?

    Thanks

    Rick

I think your main problem will be that they will both react to the same remote control and there is no way of changing that (unlike the Foxsat HDR model which also uses the same remote control code set by default but which *can* be changed).

Edit: Sorry, I mis-read that as running two DTR-T1000 boxex side by side. No idea about the 9200T and a DTR-T1000.

    Welcome to the Forum

    The remotes will not conflict.

Can you use both on the same TV

You do not mention what type of tv you have and/or the inputs it has..so this is a guess

Aerial can be fed out from the 9200T to the DTR-T1000
DTR-T1000 can then be connected to tv via HDMI or scart lead.

I have the 9200t and DTR-t1000 connected to the same TV.

Coax is connected as per Barry's description, while the 9200t connects to the TV via SCART and the DTR-T1000 via HDMI.

    No remote control conflict

Thanks for the welcome, sorry about the delay in replying but I've been clearing tons of snow, hopefully its stopped now !!

I have now got the DTR-T1000 and have cabled it up as follows:-

The rooftop aerial goes into the back of the DTR-T1000 and a co-ax loop out to the 9200T, then another co-ax loop out to the TV. I have left the Scart lead from the 9200T to the TV, but have used the HDMI lead from the DTR-T1000 to the TV.

The only problem is that I have to use the TV remote, that makes 3 remotes + a DVD/VHS combo one !!) to change the source to view different boxes.

The remote controls have no conflicts.

Many thanks for your help on this matter.

Be aware if you are using high eco mode on the DTR T1000 you might have to enable rf loop thru' if your 9200 does not get enough of a signal when the Youview unit is in standby.

One activity-based universal remote control to replace them all is the answer.
