Hi welcome to our forum. Try setting the volume control on the HDR-2000T control remote to maximum. From then on use the TV volume to adjust.

It might be a silly question, but how do I set the HDR-2000T to maximum as the remote controls both the TV and Humax?

Tune the box to a SD channel

Set the remote to control the TV and turn down it's volume (so you don't get deafened ).

Set the remote to control the HDR-2000T. Turn up the box volume to full.

Set the remote to control the TV - adjust the volume to a normal listening level.

Tune to a HD channel. If the volume is significantly different, in the HDR-2000T TV setup menu change the audio output to stereo.

Sorry, I am obviously not being very bright. How do I tune the box to a SD channel? I realise that I could switch the TV off standby using the TV remote controller and turn the volume right down with the TV remote (fair point!)

I have set the digital audio output to stero, audio MPEG, DAO to PCM - but I did that ages ago and have no idea now how I did it!

Err yes. I have to remember to use the TV remote to alter the volume. I find that if I use the Humax remote to select TV, the TV gets confused and switches from HDMI to TV and complains I have no signal. Then I have to spend ages faffing about with both cremotes in order to receive the TV signal via the Humax box.
