While we are still able to post, I would like to propose thanks to the loyal staff who have supported this forum and it's predecessor (hummy.org.uk) over the years. I will not name names - they known who they are!

The forum was invaluable during the early years of the 9200 series, when software updates were regular. There was clearly some background liaison with the local Humax software team. Together, the capabilities of the machine and it's successors were transformed. Hardware development by members included a novel method of down loadng stored files to and from a PC.

It seemed that later products did not have as close a relationship with Humax software development, probably due to personnel changes and a more global approach, but support from the forum remained as strong as ever.

You will be sorely missed.

Did the last update fix MANY issues?
I bought an AURA 2 years ago. Sat unused until I commissioned 3 weeks ago.
I can see a few issues but not many.

1. I Had black video screen (TV and preview, and NO audio) Fixed by power off reboot about 3 times. Came back ok.
2. Adding to a red button favourite from Prog guide screen only adds channels to end of list, not in order. Sort by channel no (yellow button) doesn't fix.

And if I fit an attenuator wouldn't that affect ALL other channels?

Yes it will. The problem you may have is that if the signal strength is too high the the tuner saturates and the signal strength appears to decrease. Your problem is unusual so I can't say for certain if an attenuator will help. However this is digital TV and providing you have 100% signal quality, then the signal strength is not significant. I have in the past (on a different Humax box) had 100% signal quality with a 30% signal strength although I would suggest a minimum signal strength should be above 50%.

Yes. An attenuator is not Frequency specific.

I point an HQ antenna (Triax Unix52) at Bexley, 26 miles away. I use a 0-20dB LTE head (mast) amp. I achieve 100% sig and quality on main mpx's. COM5 is down to 80%/50% some days (not necessarily in bad weather either) Channels like Sky news occasionally flickering.
Over signal tends to manifest in other ways I have found.
I wonder if anyone has had a definite proof and fix for this channel28 on Aura boxes from other transmitters.

28 is the UK TV channel designation. Channel
44 is the multiplex tuning channel (you can see when the tuner is scanning)
Obviously if you checked in daytime, that proves your signal ok.
