Received news yesterday that software has been released for public testing.

Just awaiting some clarification and further details from Humax Towers before I put a call out for approx 10 users who would like to test.

Surprised long standing members are being take in by some of the nonsense posted in this thread. Any member would get the same info by contacting Humax Support through the usual channels.

When there is more definitive news on the update I will post it. Until then this thread closed.

Can’t remember the make of pvr I had years ago which had custom made firmware changes by a group of dedicated amateurs. I’m sure someone on this forum had one too. So much so that it might be worth treating the Aura as abandonware.

If the new Manhattan unit was able to record more than 2 channels at a time I think i would have moved to that.
It's a shame they didn't use dual tuner's, if they had fine they're market research they probably would have sold a lot more units if they had that.

I agree. I would have bought the Manhattan too, but the limitation of only being able to record 2 channels is a showstopper for me. I often have to record 3 channels and on some occasions I have even recorded 4.
