With great regret MyHumax.Org forums is giving 5 months notice of closure.

We will be shutting down the forums in February 2026 which will bring us to 15 years of existence. It has been a great 15 years, and unfortunately, all good things must come to an end.

We are working on the wind down of these forums, and these are the expected timescales:

* September: (this) wind down announcement
* October: Questions, comment, acceptance
* November: Stop user registrations
* December: Members only forums (login to read and post)
* January: Read only forums (no more posting)
* February: Shutdown and archive

We would like to thank everyone for participating in these forums especially, the donors, moderators and the regular contributors.

Had my Humax Aura for 3 years and using it more than ever over Christmas and scheduled recordings over the new year just to say Thankyou and Merry Christmas and Happy New year and so sorry to see the Forum go in 2026.

While we are still able to post, I would like to propose thanks to the loyal staff who have supported this forum and it's predecessor (hummy.org.uk) over the years. I will not name names - they known who they are!

The forum was invaluable during the early years of the 9200 series, when software updates were regular. There was clearly some background liaison with the local Humax software team. Together, the capabilities of the machine and it's successors were transformed. Hardware development by members included a novel method of down loadng stored files to and from a PC.

It seemed that later products did not have as close a relationship with Humax software development, probably due to personnel changes and a more global approach, but support from the forum remained as strong as ever.

You will be sorely missed.

The ITV Quiz channel seems to work perfectly if I stay up till midnight,but there is the black screen showing during the day.

If I switch to the TV and select ITV Quiz it works perfectly.

The aerial is pointing towards the Heathfield transmitter

The aerial cable is in one piece using the Aura as the first port after the 12v aerial supply...

Help please???

Lets face it, Humax are playing for time to make the most income possible from the Aura before the bubble bursts. it has been 3 months since the so-called beta release of promised new software and the"leaks" of a replacement box have been and gone.
Now is the time for them to come clean and admit they are pulling out of the set-top box market.

I thought I read a post a while back saying some people could beta test the new software?

I can't remember if that was right, but if so, can anyone say if they are and how it's going?

I have tried to access the U streaming service on freeview but all I get is a blank screen. Can anyone suggest what I can do

I use my aura app to record programs and today was setting up my recordings for Christmas but today the tv guide is showing no program information anyone got the same problem .

I have a Humax Aura which seems to constantly restart and its driving me nuts.

Is there anything tried and tested that can be done about this?

We have been putting up with pixelation and picture stutter in the last couple of recordings we have watched as they were recorded over a year ago (thought maybe there was an issue at the time) but it has got markedly worse so tried one that was recorded only a few days ago, same thing. We then watched live and recorded part of a program, live was perfect the recording not so. Last thing we tried is a recording from years ago that we have watched repeatedly with no problems is now also doing it. So as per title.

Its coming up to 4 years old.
