    Hi Guys,
It looks to me like my HDR1000S is getting a bit behind the times (not had an update for ages).
Is there any way to add extra services to the HDR1000S.
Maybe I need to start looking for something else to either replace or add to my Humax.
    Regards,
    Paul

It is after all around 6 years old and companies won't support older hardware for ever.

It's rumoured that a new 4K Freesat replacement is in the pipeline. When it will make an appearance is anyone's guess.

    Thanks for the info Faust.

I've done a Google search and it appears that Humax is the only company that makes a Freesat box with the ability to record.

So I guess we are stuck with it.

    Regards,

    Paul

The only other thing I've thought about was to get one of the old Foxsat HDRs and experiment with the custom firmware that is available.

I have a Foxsat-HDR running the CF. The HD picture is a tad soft direct off the box. If you stream HD recordings direct to a G2 box the picture quality is much superior.

Also two HDR FOX T2's both running the custom firmware

How about one of these ?

It appears Arris will launch a new UHD box in 2019, so that looks like it's the future for Freesat.

Let's hope it's the early part of 2019 so we have the rest of the year for the early adopters to sort out the bugs.

I've just thought, we will need a new forum for the Arris KreaTV products.

    Hi Graham,
Those Enigma 2 machines look tidy,
Where do I go to find out more about them, I bet you are on an Enigma 2 Forum somewhere.
    Regards,
    Paulo
