I think the difference must be due to checking at two different times. All three now give 70% with infrequent jumps to 80%.

Weather related ?. Expecting some foul weather shortly here, gales already and heavy rain tracking in from the NW.

Been a bit cool but clear sky Weather in Eauze.

My 70% Quality was midway between Brodeaux and Toulouse. Also on 80cm.

    Are you close to Agen?

That is quite a difference then for only 120kms further South!

Almost 200kms, would that make much of a difference?

The tighter the beam, the more rapid the falloff at the margin.

The tightest beam known is most likely a laser. At the margin you go from full power to zero in next to zero distance. Beam shape doesn't have to be perfectly uniform either. 2D had a known lobe focussed on Gibraltar giving UK channels on a much smaller dish then further North on the Spanish Costas. It will take a while to get a better idea as to 2F's real footprint. It's not early days, it's the first day

Just rechecked - yesterday 100%/70-80%, Today 100%/90% steady.
    ITV London 1N 100%/100%
Wonder why the difference? Solar flares?

Paul - what have you got today?
