    Hello
It seems my Fox Sat will no longer be able to receive BBC iPlayer from September when the current V2 is phased out.
Have I understood this correctly? If so I'm shopping... again...
    thanks, joe

    Thanks Barry,
I'm looking at the HB-100S (a which? best buy) but Humax sales say it only records to certain external hard drives (they can't say which).
I want to archive my favourites as I do with FoxSat.
Do you know about this and if so which H/Ds?
    many thanks, joe

    Assuming you mean the HB1000S.

Seems to work OK with most usb hard drives. If you want to watch your recordings on other kit like you can with the Foxsat, you can't.

Thanks Graham, yes I did want to watch archived programs on my PC as I do with FoxSat. It looks like none of the newer models allow this. I guess they encode for the Humax software only?

Freesat decided that the freetime models would not allow programme archiving. The Humax Freeview+ models allow programme export to usb (Current models 1800/2000T)
