My friend has a Humax Freeview 1100s, and all was working well until she disconnected everything to decorate !!
All put back together, and nothing !!
Checked all cables and in the correct place
Power, Internet, HDMI, and Sat Cable.
Blue light comes on on the box, but the box is unresponsive to the remote.
Changed batteries in Remote, but still nothing
The lights on the Remote do come on when a button is pressed.
Nothing showing on the TV screen
Took batteries out, and tried the 0 and OK for 30 seconds.
Because I can’t see anything on the screen, I can’t do a factory reset, Is there another way to do a factory reset ?

With the box power off. Disconnect the two f connectors. Check the f connectors are screwed firmly on the ends of the coax. If the coax is the type that uses the very thin centre core. Make tiny kink in it and make sure that it goes down the hole in the middle.

If the TV has more than one HDMI port, have you checked that the HDMI cable has been plugged into the port previously used and presumably being selected as the source? Someone I know had exactly that problem after having a new carpet fitted and the carpet fitters had plugged the HDMI cable into a different port.

Graham missed that you have posted in a HB forum. It's a freesat unit not freeview which is terrestrial.

I would try the TV source suggestions first.

    UPDATE

I checked that the HDMI port was the correct one. It was.
I then looked at the fly lead that the aerial installer had supplied. It had an F connector on one end, and a co-ax on the other. I've no idea how he got that to connect !!

I went locally and bought a new fly lead, with an F connector, on both ends

Eurika, all working now, thanks for your help

Sorry I missed the HB in the model number assuming incorrectly it was a twin tuner model with an internal HDD.
