    Hi,

Can anyone tell me if I should be able to stream from the HDR-FOX T2 to an HD-FOX T2 whilst the HDR-FOX T2 is recording?

    Thanks...

Not an answer based on experience, but the answer is pretty certain to be yes. (The media server 3rd party firmware for the Foxsat-hdr certainly can). Streaming a recording from the hdd does not involve a tuner so while recording two a HD FOX T2 should be able to access the existing recordings. Hopefully someone with both can confirm.

Thanks for the reply. I thought it should be possible.

The reason I asked is that I have just bought an HD as a second receiver in the house and I've added a couple of HomePlug Powerline adapters to my network to get them talking. All seemed to be working fine the day I set it up but today the HD wasn't finding the HDR on the network. I noticed that the HDR was recording at the time and raised the question. I haven't yet had a chance to power the HDR off/on to see if that fixes it. I think it may be an issue with the server on the HDR because both machines were able to connect to iPlayer via the router so their network connections must have been working. Perhaps the server on the HDR had stopped working?

I'll be trying to have another play later today if I can find a time slot when no one is sat in front of them!

I could of course be wrong. Like I said I don't have any experience (I only have a HD FOX T2).

Thanks for the welcome. Reassuring to know that it should work as I expected. I'll try a power reset on the HDR later. After I've put the kettle on

Make sure Content Share is enabled:

Menu, Settings, System, Internet Setting, Content Share.

but I guess it is as you have successfully streamed in the past.
