    Hi,

My Fox T2 PVR gets the ""Cannot support this video due to invalid file format" on many music videos, can anyone offer an explanation why?

I have recently installed this release which Brian pointed me towards:_

    HDR_FOX_T2_1.03.06_mod_2.19.zip.....Release Date : 23/09/2013
    (SHA1: 829e3d7b286d288077ce9943185097f22dba3c01)

    Thanks,

    John

Are you referring to videos on You Tube? There are many different video file formats, and many are not compatible with the Humax.

    Hi Brian,

Yes; sorry I did mean to mention YouTube. My head is in the clouds these days. I cannot even blame it on alcohol as I'm not allowed it with my mega cocktail of pharmaceuticals. Maybe I should kick the pharma's into touch on concentrate on alcohol

Thanks for your feedback, you're always there when we need you.

Best wishes for the forthcoming 2014.

    Regards,

    John

PS. The YouTube videos which I cannot play on my T2 do play on my PC.... as you said it's the T2 operating system which does not support them.

it's the T2 operating system which does not support them.

It is not the operating system it is the hardware; PVRs have much less powerful CPUs than PCs and so the CODECs for play back must be implemented in hardware. If the hardware doesn't support the required format then that is the end of the road.
