First posting, but I'll keep it simple.
Have got an early HDR Fox T2 HD PVR which is probably over 10 years old now.
With the increase in streaming, it's been used alot less, however last night thought I'd just check it out.
It powered up OK, I then went to go to settings to do a re-tune because that hadn't been done for a while and the screen went blank, so I left it a while and then decided to switch it off at the mains as there was no response. On switching it on it seems to be totally dead - the 'red / blue' ring isn't lit, nothing appearing on the display, no fan kicking in.
Have opened it up and checked the power board using a meter have checked the outputs there which seem to be OK - 12v etc. Also tried sending power through having disconnected the hard drive and still no change.
Is there a logical set of steps to follow now to check it and find out what's wrong or is it dead never to return ?
Any advice appreciated.
