Hi, first post here hoping someone can point me in the right direction ! I installed firmware 4.0.8 some months ago and it went extremely well. now however when i went to do more media to the hd in the humax , which i could do as the humax box showed up as a network device and i could just copy and paste , but its not there now ! tried to install twonkymedia but whike it installed it didnt show all files that were on the humax drive ! I have tried pinging the box and it returns a 100% result , and it clearly has some sort of connection but not the simple device i had before !

Yes in the meantime Humax released a new firmware (v1.00.21) in July which was broadcast over the air and has overwritten your custom firmware.

You need to download version 4.0.9 of the custom firmware and install via USB stick. Your custom firmware settings will be preserved from version 4.0.8.

Huh? I am still running 4.0.8 with v1.00.21. As I recall 4.0.9 is a bug fix for something I don't use so did not bother with.

4.0.9 includes the disk-fix utility (which I would advise installing as you may not be able to do when you need it)

Sounds like he has lost his samba share or it is not showing on his network. Suggestion try mapping a network drive using the ip address and the Media share.

Confused now. Installed 4.0.9 but can find no reference to a disk-fix utility?

Edit: Belay that. Now read the rest of the readme file that came with it.

But do people know that the installation boot screen still says v1.0.20 and not v1.0.21?

I think that is a bug in the Humax Loader that shows the previous version?

Unless it sees the update file for v21 and thinks it had better use the v20 installer? I can see the sense in that.

I think it always has shown the previous flashed version rather than the one being flashed.
