FVP-4000T - No sound from HDMI port

The unit has just stopped outputting sound from the HDMI port. Video is working only.
I have tried new HDMI cables with no success.
I can get sound out of the SpDIf Optical output but this means that I have to use two cables where it only needed the HDMI for both Sound and vision before and has been working perfectly for 3 years..

Hi welcome to our forum. Have by any chance done a reset to factory defaults recently ?

Suspect you have changed the HDMI digital output to surround and retained the S/Pdif as stereo (possibly as a result of a reset).

Initially look at the settings for the TV audio. Change the HDMI digital audio output setting from surround to stereo if not already set at stereo.
