My second problem with this (excellent) machine.

Is there no way of the HDMI auto selecting the machine as the source when powered on?
Two of my PS3's do this with samsung and LG TVs and since scart leads always did this with my VHS and DVD players, I miss the convenience.

Hdmi auto selection requires CEC control which often only works from kit made by the same maker. None of the Humax HD boxes have CEC.

The HDR T2 does not have HDMI CEC functionality, so if it is not recognised by your TV (appears to work with some Panasonic kit) then I'm afraid you are stuck with manually selecting the input.

Ah... Rats! Ok, then at least I know there is nothing I can do. Cheers (and Barry too)

If your TV accept discrete remote control for input switching, then you can get a Harmony remote to select the right input for the right 'activity' when you use it to switch everything on.
