I am having the same power problem with the box I bought just before Xmas, it has the latest software but does not power on every couple of days. Have to disconnect the power to get it working again, did you manage to resolve your issue?

Have to disconnect the power to get it working again, did you manage to resolve your issue?Is it definitely not powering on i.e. has the red light not turned blue or is it the long standing handshake issue whereby the unit is on it's just that the TV screen is blank? Don't forget it does take around 35 seconds to boot regardless.

Yes, does not switch from red to blue light. The remote is working but the unit does not respond.
Have just swapped the unit so will see if this one is any better.
