Hi, our HDR2000T sometimes doesnt record the full programme, usually the last 10-15 minutes. Its getting very frustrating! Anybody know the ending to the last three Scott & Bailey police drama? haha

Have you got channels numbered over 800 in your channel list ?

    Yes

That's the cause of the problem. Auto tuning has stored channels from more than 1 transmitter. The channels at 800 plus could well be the ones you should have.

I don't have a HDR2000T but I do have a pair of HDR FOX T2's so guessing the menus will be similar here's the procedure required to manually tune the box.

Firstly identify which transmitter is your preferred one.

Enter your postcode here to find the transmitter, tick the detailed view option. Make a note of the UHF channels in grey (you can ignore the + or -) and which of them are the HD ones.

    http://www.dtg.org.uk/work/coverage.html

Next step is to delete all your existing Radio and TV Channels

Menu Settings Edit Channels - (default password is 0000) - Edit Channel list

TV will be displayed by default. Press blue and select all. Press red to delete all the TV channels.

    Switch to Radio

Green group button, repeat the procedure to delete all Radio channels

Save the now empty channel list.

The box will ask you to retune, choose the manual option.

Select each of the channel numbers in your list (choose DVB-T for SD and DVB-T2 for HD), scan and save each one in turn.

That should fix the problem as the box will now follow the accurate recording codes transmitted by the broadcasters.

On a similar tack... has anyone encountered the issue of failed recordings on the 2000T?
Can't spot any particular pattern but about 1 in 10 scheduled recordings seem to fail (most recently on BBC3 or BBC4 for some reason).
List of recorded items shows program name but states 0mins duration and will not play.

Is this something to do with current software (not sure when next update is due?) or perhaps a transmitter issue?

If this is a known issue with this model I suspect nothing will be done unless a sufficient number if people phone to log the complaint....

Will try a factory reset but not too hopeful

    Thanks for any advice please??????

Is there a reason given eg Failed to track. If it is failed to track have you tried manual tuning?

This is a known problem that Humax issued a fix for very recently.

To check which firmware you are using its MENU > Settings > System > System information
It must be 1.01.06 or greater

This is a different issue to the OP's.

This thread is VicnBob's and therefore rather than highjack for your own issue and diverting attention from VicnBob's issue, starting a new thread would have been better to state your situation without people getting confused between your issue and Bob's different issue!

Apologies Luke (and VicnBob) - was searching site for related information and found this thread which was close and instead of starting a thread just jumped straight in. Rude of me and will be less self-centred in future visits.
Many thanks for the info anyway Luke, appreciated. Will check DTG schedules for OTA updates... maybe that should have been my first point of call!?!

...and Martin, thanks also for your response. There is no reason given except "recording failed" but if the answer above pans out I will hopefully have a resolution.
