Does anyone have any information related to this Humax product? I've just got it yesterday. It does not have internal hdd but it should have "record to USB" functionality but as i understood it has been disabled along with the ethernet port. Is there any possibility to upgrade/mod the firmware on it? On Humax site there is not firmware available to download (beta/non-beta). Has anyone encountered this model untill now? It is available in Romania. Thank you for your time and information provided!

Well I see this is listed as a middle east and North Africa product but there are no sortware updates listed (at all) on that regions site.

Thank you for taking the time to look into this. It's kind of weird being listed for middle east and Africa, because it's the only product being given for rent by the main cable and internet provider here in Romania. The sad part is that they've disable some stuff in it. The remote control has the "Rec" button for recording on USB but right now, it doesn't do anything. The Ethernet port is named as "service port" in the manual but it does not do DHCP requests or anything and i really don't know how i could retrieve the firmware from it (assuming that i find a firmware for it, modify it and flash it back) in order to have a backup in case something goes wrong. Oh well... maybe someone has any information related to this. Thank you again!
