My Humax Freesat HDR-1100S 1TB HD Recorder has decided to stop working. It has reliably worked for a number years.
Current situation:
No lights showing.
The TV recognises there is a device attached on the HDMI port when I connect power to the Humax box butthe TV screen is blank.
I tried leaving it unplugged overnight in the hope that powering it up again the next day may resolve the situation. Alas, no.
Is there an internal fuse? Although the TV thinks there is something connected suggesting any fuse that may exist is probably okay.
Is there anything I could look at inside, or am I left with another dead device? When my previous Humax Box packed up 5 years ago at least I had all the menu interfaces working but, it seemed, a dead hard drive.
Maybe I could move this hard drive to my old box (which I kept)?
