I have the Humax 150N Wireless LAN USB Adaptor in my HDR FOX T2.
On setup, all seems well and there are no error messages.
However, the unit is still not connecting to my network.
Can I investigate further?
Cheers.

However, the unit is still not connecting to my network.Does your WiFi password have non alpha numeric characters? How long is it? I have a vague recollection that there are limits on the HDR-FOX T2 WiFi password. Maybe some one with abetter memory can tell us what they are?

All the characters are alphanumeric and the password is 14 characters long.
I hope it's not that as, for many reasons, changing the password is a mega pain in the brain!

All the characters are alphanumeric and the password is 14 characters long.OK I have found old posts that say long passwords are acceptable. In your original post you said "not connecting to the network"; can you describe in detail what you do to attempt to to connect? Anybody any other ideas?

It works!
I connected it using a cable and was able to fixed the "record loop" problem which was the reason I was doing all this.
Today I tried the wifi again and it connected with no probs.Thank you very much for sticking with me Martin.

It always helps if we are told exactly wat you are doing. Were you using the custom firmware to fix the problem? If so, I think you would need the wireless helper package for WiFI to work in maintenance mode.

True.
Yes, I have the custom firmware.
I did put it in maintenance mode over wifi but only saw telnet there as an option.
I did get fixdisk on the webpage installer but couldn't see where this was to run it hence using telnet.
Should I get wireless helper then too? Where would this show up or is it a background thing?| Sun 12 Feb 2023 14:44:35 #7 | -
