The app will not connect to my box.. Been trying for last 24 hours! Both connected to same WiFi, privacy agreement agreed to, recording remotely set to on... But nothing. Anyone any ideas? Brian?

Do you have an account at http://www.myhumax.net I think that you need one before you can use the app.

No, already done that but thanks for the suggestion. Still not having it. I can access it using ftp server but just won't link to the app. How strange

I think you have totally missed my post I would like to put this app on separate TV in bedroom so that maybe watch recordings there ,as ssthing understands

It will not work. Why Would It ? To use the app it has to be connected to a MyHumax.net.

When you open the app It has to have the e-mail you registered your Aura one, The message FVP-4KGTR is connected followed by the local IP address of the box.

In settings You need the account and your device.

How are going to add a TV to the required account defeats me. If you have a Aura connected to your network. It will find it and add it. Otherwise it's useless.

There are other Android TV devices that will do what you want. I have one that has a network server. You can watch live TV and recordings over a network.

It has an app for android and ios devices AND A xBOX and also a Kodi PVR TV driver. You can use a laptop with HDMI out and a HDMI cable to view the content.

The HDMI out on Android devices will not play back from the Aura box. If I connect my phone to my lounge TV by HDMI playback from Auro stops and all you can see is your Phone home screen.

Without a free account you can't use the app. Can you post how to access the FTP server ? I can't find it on a laptop using FileZilla.

Why shouldn't it work? (Maximus's idea)

If the TV is Android based, why can't it be considered as an enormous tablet? That's how many many apps work on TV's, why not the Aura app? It's actually a very good question that has been asked and, if it works, would possibly greatly benefit a lot of folk.

The IOS app is now available

Thank for the heads-up. Any clues on how to find it in the App Store? I'm dozing off looking at all the headspace and mediation apps!

You would have to ask Humax that question. If you have a Aura it's possible to view it's output on two devices anyway. I can do that on a Full-HD Kitchen TV and the 4K TV in the lounge.

Just search for Humax, then look in Developer Humax.

Yet again, you choose to miss the point.
Unlike you, not everyone lives a house that resembles Nasa Mission Control nor do they want to be running spaghetti cables everywhere.
If the Aura app can be installed on an Android mobile device to view recordings remotely, it would make sense if the same app could be installed on an Android TV in another room, to do the same thing.

I don't understand why you don't just use the phone app to cast to the TV via a Chromecast dongle.

If you have a new TAB click on that. It's still a little way down the list.
