OK, that's clear. Now assuming the box will function, although on a London postcode, and connect to the internet have you tried updating to the latest software?

Sorry I only thought I was uploading the photos, I Only mentioned Parental pin as an example. When I tell it to do a factory default I get asked for the pin and get the message incorrect pin and a factory default is the only way I can see to retune from the London area to here in Scotland.I have tried to upload photos of the screen saying incorrect pin but site says they failed due to suize, I have cut hem to smaller sizes and hopefully it will go
I have incidentally updated the .hdf file four times and the screnn has said successful each time but it never has reset the password.

Sorry again I did not see your later post, The box seems to work perfectly only getting the London programs, In SETTINGS/ system info it gives the Poscode as WD172TW, which is a london Postcode, I have tried to update the software but it says New software not detected, the software date in the System info is 9th dec last year and the version is UKSFAA 1.02

No that's the LOADER level. The s/w level should be 3.0.20?

I'm on the very latest level of s/w and I just tried the pin reset explained here...
https://myhumax.org/forum/topic/how-to-reset-password
...and it worked perfectly. So if yours does not then I'm beaten on this.

My apologises for not spotting this earlier
Try this later default file, it should revert your unit to factory settings.
I have just tried using it on a unit with software 3.00.18 and then 3.00.20 uploaded, and it worked fine.

Hi again, I thought I had said I did use the file Barry sent and it worked first time and on comparing it to the file I downloaded from Humax it is ten times the size so I think the download from Humax must have failed and could not have been the whole file.
Anyway thanks again for everyones assistance and hopefully you will get peace now that I have a 1000S that is working as it should and even getting the right transmissions,

The file on Humax site was for earlier versions of firmware.
