I have Foxsat HDR (running fine for three years)

    Current settings:
    SW version: HPRSFCI 1.00.21
Loader version: U7.52 (have auto run software update), normally turn box off at night

    Manual Tune settings:
    Tuner: Tuner 1(fixed)
    Satellite: freesat 28.2E
    Can't change above two settings

    Transponder: All
    network search: disable
    Scramble type: FTA
    Channel type: All

Last night tried freesat tune as BBC HD not being received. Box didn't recognise postcode and 'detecting signal' just kept running.

managed to do manual tune however still don't have BBC HD channels

    Sounds like a dish/lnb/cabling issue.

Using manual tune select transponder 11427 H (might be 11428 H), what dignal strength and quality do you get indicated ?

Thanks for your support. Selected transponder 11427 H 27500 2/3 & zero signal or quality % registering.

Is this a hardware or software issue and is it best fixed by a professional?

    regards
    John

Most likely a dish issue. Dish may have moved, Water may have entered the coax cables or the lnb itself is shot. All DIY fixable if the dish is accessible.

I'm getting all the channels via 'manual tune' just not BBC HD so is it likely to be the dish that's moved? If so, what kit do I need to realign it?

    Many Thanks

Not so if you cannot get

This is essential for a freesat unit. Guess LNB problm but there should be other channels not functioning as well.

He's already said (see previous posts) that he's getting zero strength and quality for this!

The point being if he cannot get the freesat transponder - he must be missing others as well - knowing which would narrow down the problem.

as discussed after manual re-tune receiving hundreds of channels (inc ITV & CH4 HD) but no BBC HD or EPG. No signal strength on 11427 H so does that point definitively to dish movement or LNB failure

Most likely reason, check your coax cables carefully, gradual loss of transponders can be a sign of water ingress. You don't want water tracking down the cables into your Foxsat.
