For some reason my freeview box won't record. I've tried disconnecting the power and when I reconnect it'll let me record 1 programme but it won't let me record any more. Other programmes I've set to record whole series aren't recording either. Any help would be appreciated

Which freeview Humax box do you have?

How are you attempting to record a programme?

When you state that it won't let you record, how is it stopping you from doing that?

What is the software version for your freeview Humax box? This can be found in the menus but the exact key presses to look it up will vary according to which box you have.

Hi, it's a Humax Freeview Play HD Recorder, Model FVP-5000T
I'm trying to record the normal way. Either guide then moving across to the programme and pressing record button or I select the programme and record that way.
It doesn't do anything when I press record, it doesn't show on the guide it is going to be recorded.
    Software version is UKTFAE 1.03.54
Also it's not recording programmes I set to series link before this problem happened.
    Any help would be great
    Many thanks

    Hi Alicott,

Have you tried doing a factory reset/retune the channels? Should Solve your problem. The trick works with most of my pvrs Inc Freeview and Freesat. The pvrs do run into problems from time to time. Don't forget some of the channels have had a change recently, that even though your PVR should have autotuned revised channels, could have run into this problem. John L

I've done a factory reset but now when I go to other days to record a lot of channels are saying 'No Programme Information ' so still can't record. Aerial and connections are fine

Hello there, either the EPG needs to populate/receive EPG data or maybe try a retune of channels? Don't have the same model, but that's what I would check. John L
