I need to connect a new remote to my Freesat box, I have spent most of the afternoon searching online for codes but cannot find them for my box. Can anyone help, please?

What type of remote are you trying to connect? Is it a genuine Humax remote?

It's not Humax, although it looks very much like the original. It was supplied by our insurance company.

You should not need a code for a replacement remote control. Do you have more than one Humax box connected to your TV?

There are no codes to connect the remote to the HDR-1000S only codes for a TV.
It is possible to set the remote to work with several alternate code sets if you have more than one Humax PVR. If the new remote was set to an alternate set this may be the problem.

If that does not solve your problem then the remote is not for a HDR-1000S.
