Can someone from Humax please give an extimate of when the Genre Search bug is going to be fixed?
Do you need some help? If you provide me a copy of the code (and preferably the design documentation) then I could have a look.

Just got this response from Humax Customer Support:
Hi Mark,
Thank you for contacting Humax.
This unit is different from the PVR9200T, it will only show a selection of movies on the FVP, this is not a software fault I'm afraid.

My response is:
Yes, the genre search is different on the FVP4000T compared to the older PVR 9200T in that the feature does not work on the new model.
Genre Search feature is a standard basic feature on PVRs that searches the EPG for all results with that Genre. It is NOT a feature that searches a random number of channels a "Bit" into the future and provides those results.
Come on Humax, please accept this is a once useful feature that you have broken on the latest box.
The way it is at the moment I cannot even perform the search in the morming to record films that evening if I - am going out after work!!!
It is a broken feature - i.e. A BUG.
Please fix it.
