Thought I'd check to see if there was a recent update I'd missed (I'm on 1.00.59) and clicked on "Check New Software". Well after approx 30 minutes the blue triangle is still spinning and the system is not responding to the remote control. I'll leave it on while I go out for a couple of hours but if it's still stuck when I get back do you think it will be safe to unplug the unit?

That is the latest version.
You'll have to disconnect power I'm afraid.

Congratulations, you've found an "enhanced feature" of this machine. I think most of us have had that one.
Another thing for Humax to fix I'm afraid.

Another thing for Humax to fix I'm afraid.I have not had that one, but then I wouldn't waste my time looking for a firmware update when one hasn't been announced.
