Having had no reboots since my last forum post (25/6/15) last evening, during ITV News 22.15, the box shutdown and had to have a manual restart.
Don't know whether this is related or not but on certain voice-overs, such as National Lottery, I am getting missing words.

Having had no reboots since my last forum post (25/6/15) last evening, during ITV News 22.15, the box shutdown and had to have a manual restart.
Don't know whether this is related or not but on certain voice-overs, such as National Lottery, I am getting missing words.Reported this to Freesat and their advice was to reload the previous software. I am reluctant to do this as I am not sure what happens when the existing software is upgraded.

I reverted to the previous firmware (v2.02.07) on 24th June and have had no problems (such as shutdowns, rebooting) since.

This thread seems to be dying. Are Freesat fixing this? Are they doing it in stages? My reboots are getting further & further apart - not had one for almost 10 days now, but the missing status indicators on the front panel are still missing.
The rest of this update does in certain areas seem more responsive than the previous version but I find spontaneous reboots a bit off putting. So far none have occurred whilst recording but it's only a matter of time....| Tue 21 Jul 2015 10:43:18 #354 | -
Remaining occasional reboots may be due to Freesat tinkering with their servers. The new box has just hit the shops so a new software update seems unlikely in the immediate future. They'll be waiting to see how it goes. In the meantime, there's the option of rolling back to the previous version.

I think it will be an ongoing tale of 'jam tomorrow' now the new display - less model has been released.

Anyway I beg to differ, for many users the little icons have already returned. Partly down to them popping the old software back on but also thanks to Humax for removing the faulty OTA update. So Humax have actually put the Jam in the cupboard for anybody that wants it, customers just need to supply some bread and butter.
I've not had a single reboot myself and not being a big fan of jam I'll wait and see what tomorrow brings.

I don't think the icons have returned because Humax have removed the update (which I might add hasn't really been an issue for many of us). As you say the icons will return if you roll back to the old firmware.
One way or another the writing is on the wall for the near invisible icons given the Humax vision no longer includes box displays. My 2000T does not have a display and quite frankly I don't miss one. Likewise I never really look at the display on our 1000s so for me it's all a bit of a storm in a teacup.
In fact thinking back my Sky+ HD box didn't have a display either other than a blue circling LED, whereas my very first VHS recorder was lit up like Piccadilly Circus.
Things move on, yet many people appear to struggle with change.

Things move on, yet many people appear to struggle with change.Well I still have the 1000s with a proper display and little icons, so there is no need for me to struggle with change, (slightly annoyed by this faulty badly tested update is a different thing all together).
But maybe in the future I'll need to get a new freetime box and if Humax have changed to some kind of semaphore system by then I may well struggle with that.| Wed 22 Jul 2015 11:14:55 #359 | -
Rolling back to the earlier version is only temporary. Eventually, there will presumably be a new release which will be picked up by all three HDR1**0S models. At which point the tiny icons will either be reinstated or not.
