    Hi all,
    I have a HumaxDTR-T1010 2 GB You View Box, Serial no: 616006947 00040
    Bought from Humax direct 30-7-2016
It is Very sluggish in using especially with the remote, press a button and it takes minuets to get a response, and feels like everything has frozen, but it will eventually respond, but it make fast forwarding through adverts almost not worth trying to do!
    Any thoughts welcomed.
    Mick.

Has your unit been updated to the new UI?

(no idea if it has rolled out on this unit yet - edit apparently it has)

I don't have a 1010 connected at the moment, but will dig one out and connect up, no doubt I'll have to update unit, so make take a while.

OK....unit set up and updated, but not to the latest UI

    Software version is 26.40.0

All appears to be as I remember, no delay in button response.

To start with you could try a reset (won't affect schedules or recordings)...

Touch and keep touching for approx. 7 seconds the power 'button' on front of unit.

    Hi all,
I did as Barry suggested re set the box by holding the power button in for 7 seconds
as it re booted Humax version: A7.76 appeared on screen
a message appeared saying 'use ECO Mode for faster start up' (I think we were advised not to use that?)

    In settings;
    Manufactures software: 14.2.0
    Component software: 1.7.4
    Platform configuration: 492

It said it last checked for software update on 29-3-2017 (box is not connected to the internet as main TV is, will it auto update if I connect it to the internet?)

Yikes Mick that is very old software circa Jul 2013!

Connect it to internet and see what version it downloads.

After connecting it to the internet it updated:
    Component software: 3.1.148 (b4bd2e)
    Manufactures Software: 27.46.0
    Platform Configuration: 3258

    Device info:
    Humax DTRT1000
    Variant: 80B07000
    Serial No: 61600694700040
    Identifier: DCD321-DTRT1000-070e9046

I of course expected to see a difference, but why named: BT?
It is performing better now though.
    Thanks,
    Mick.

    That is the latest version...

As for BT branding, strange decision by YV to brand the UI for retail bought products with the users telcon provider....I'm with VM so do not have this fortunately.

All retail units connected to a BT line have always had a BT skin, and have done from day 1 of launch. Similarly with TalkTalk.
