Looks like YouTube app has a new issue. It just shows a blank screen when playing a video on my FVP5000T.

Has started happening only last couple of days. Must have been an update.

It's working fine on my 4000T and 5000T machines.

Out of curiosity, I played a video on the YouTube app tonight and, though it was very slow to startup it played OK. I normally use my Firestick for YouTube as it is much faster.

I don't think there have been any updates to the 5000T for a couple of years at least.

    Thanks for the input.

I've been trying to figure how mine is "broken".

Everything looks fine up to the point of selecting a video to watch. I think it then stalls trying to play the ad that normally comes before the video.

If I play the video on my phone using the same account and then cast it to the Humax, it plays ok on the Humax.

Other apps that stream like iPlayer work on and there haven't been any changes to the router or any other equipment.

I tried resetting the app, but it made no difference.

We have a Roku which we can use for YouTube, as we have to use it for itvx (which is broken on the Humax) but it's irritating to have something broken that was working before.

Your mention of the preceding ad reminded me that I have the YouTube Premium service which cuts out the ads. That could be why I'm not having your problem I guess.
