When you say cannot watch tv, do you mean other channels on the Foxsat or using the tv's own tuner?

Look round the back how many coax cables do you have attached to the Foxsat. Are they on the outer connections with a connection in between with nothing connected.

Try this and report what happens

Tune to 108 and press the record button, tune to 126 and press the record button. Press 109 on the remote, are you able to watch BBC2 HD ?

Not true, both tuners are capable of working with a single cable. The Foxsat requires an external cable loop, the HDR1000/1010s has an automatically enabled internal link. You can record two and watch a third as well with some restrictions over what you can do with two cable working.

One tuner on it's own can record two channels from the same transponder (eg BBC1 HD and BBC2 HD)

See bottom of page 16 in the user manual. You need a short length of coax with a f connector on each end. You connect tuner 1 out to tuner 2 in. The box will not let you make impossible recording combinations as the software is clever enough to know what is possible. While recording two the programme up/down buttons will cycle through any other channels you can watch.

Did you sort out the English commentary on the Rugby ?
