We normally watch Freesat most of the time and use our Freeview 2000T when there is a clash of programs.

However quite often if we havent powered up the Freeview from standby for a while it refuses to start either from the remote or power button..

The only way to get it to start is to unplug power from back of unit and plug in again.

Has anybody any idea why this should happen?

No idea why, but you could try a factory reset.

Thanks for your suggestion Barry, I have done a factory reset at the same time as the Freeview channel update.

Guess I will have to wait a few days to see if it makes any difference.

I have a HDR-2000T,it has been switched off for a couple of months due to moving house. I have now connected to TV but it is completely dead, no standby light or any sign of power!

Hi QueensOilman, If you can try testing the power supply first, they have been known to fail after a time.
And they are fairly cheap to buy off Amazon or ebay.

Hi Bill, thanks for your reply. I also have a Humax Freesat HDR-1100S. The power cord for the Freeview works on Freesat box, but the Freesat cord doesn't power up the Freeview box!
