2000T reboots when using BBC iPlayer

I know this isn't the first time this question has been asked though I have not seen an answer - why when using the BBC iPlayer with my ethernet connected HDR 2000T does it invariably suddenly reboot. This usually happens within a few minutes of starting a programme.

This isn't the end of the world as I don't use the app that often on this machine as I already have the 1000s freetime box too. Software version for the 2000T is 1.01.16

I had this happen the other day.

Have to say the 2000T is the worst bug ridden Humax box I've ever used, and it seems to have sadly been abandoned by Humax.

So you don't own an FVP-4000T then?!

No. I've heard the horror stories so have stayed well away. At least the 4000T seems to be getting updates though, which might help long term.

The 2000T has somehow managed to be more buggy than its predecessor despite using the same software, and Humax seem to have bigger problems to fix than this box.

Our HDR-FOX T2 rebooted a couple of times last night when trying to use iPlayer so I think there are issues with iPlayer on both boxes.

I know this is a fairly old thread, but does anyone know why this happens ?

It drives me insane as I use iplayer a lot for the children. I thought the latest software update would sort it out, but it's just the same. Sometimes the box starts up again after resetting and sometimes it will stay off and the only way to reset it is to disconnect the power.

Added to this, if you are recording something at the time, it obviously stops the recording. It's a real pain in the backside !!

It must be a software bug.

If it was a bug, surely it would affect a lot of machines. And I thought the software update should have resolved the problem.

I guess I will have to contact Humax then.

It does affect a lot of machines; why do you think it doesn't?

It certainly affects my 2000T. This is just one of the many bugs there are with the 2000T. I agree with black knight: the worst - and probably the last - Humax box I've ever owned.
