My new LG OLED48CX TV has taken over control of the volume from the Humax remote, something my previous Samsung never did. This is very annoying because, for many years, I used the Humax remote to control the TV so only ever needed the one remote!

I have consulted a LG forum and, after trying various adjustments on the TV, their current advice is to “teach the Humax to control the volume.”

Any advice on this would be most welcome.

On the Humax try setting the sound output for HDMI to Stereo (Red Freeview button> Settings> General Settings> Audio).

    Brilliant! Thank you so much.

FYI it was: Menu>Settings>Preferences>Audio>Digital Audio Output>Stereo (was MultiChannel)

Apologies, I really shouldn't answer questions late at night; for no reason I can explain, I thought you had an FVP-5000T.
