That may sound over the top so I'll explain.
I paid Humax £300 for a piece of kit that I have subsequently found has at least six operational problems.
I have attempted to contact Humax but they have put the shutters up and aren't talking yet they are still flogging their duff kit as fast as they can.
Thank you to the My Humax Forum that has reassured me that the issues that I have with the 1000S should all be sorted with a firmware update. A reassurance that I should have been able to get from Humax.
I will close on a mostly positive note. The 1000S produces great sound and pictures and the EPG is much better than the old Freesat PVR. I'm a great fan of Humax and its products but I shouldn't have to join a forum to find out that all isn't lost with my kit.
