Hi, the manual for the FVP-4000T, and screenshots within the media player itself indicate that you can configure the media player to connect to a samba share hosted on a remote computer.
In my specific case, I am trying to configure the Humax FVP-4000T to play media via a samba share hosted on my iMac on the same LAN. The Samba share is working perfectly well as I can access it from another computer.
I cannot find any way to configure the samba share in the Humax media player. I can only see the 'Internal HDD' and there doesn't appear to be any option to add new media sources.
I don't have the remote control shown on page 7 of the manual at http://www.gadgetlayman.com/_downloads/humax-FVP-4000T-user-manual-guide.pdf - I instead have the remote control with the On-Demand / Netflix / FreeviewPlay buttons. There is no 'Home' button.
Any clues ?
