I was kind of wondering - this is a bargain for a HDR-FOX T2, yes?

And only one out of the five reviewers noticed it wasn't what was advertised, he's probably a member here. Anyone owning up to being NW age 35 to 44?

Barry in your view and without giving anything confidential away, is it worth waiting for the proper HDR-2000?

I am going to guess at Nigel Whitfield.

That is a hard call to be honest Martin, eg would obviously depend on user preferences hardware wise, and I cannot say to much until it is officially announced.

    Hello All,

I just joined here because I was looking at getting a Fox T2 or a T2000. Seeing the previous comments I went to Argos yesterday (theres one around the corner, so no great effort) and asked to have a look at the T2000 (they brought out a T2). The stock code for the T2000 is 114/4697 and the ticket on the side of the T2 was same. So they're selling out old stock under the new item code.

I just bought a T2000 from Humax Direct and it's a 500GB model as they don't do anything bigger. I'm sure that I can find a nice 4TB HDD for about £100, but will probably wait for the warranty to expire and then check back here before I buy one and fit it. I've already got a 2010-ish FoxSatHDR running Raydon's firmware, so the new T2000 will be a welcome addition to the fold. I note that the T2000's PSU is external, but there are plenty of 3rd party 12V switchmode PSU's out there that could replace the part if there are any issues.

    Regards,
    Dave.
