I bought 3 HUMAX 1100s in preparation for getting rid of current TV provider. By the time I came to use them I realised I had bought the model with no record option. Too late to return them can I add a hard disk?
Thanks
Chris

Oops - Yes you can connect an external HDD for recording/pause live etc.
Thanks you for the very fast reply. Can I install one internally I assume there is space for it? If I must go the external route what is the connector?
Thanks Chris
Connection is external. You need a SATA caddy.
The choice of disk is important and it dictates if you need a powered caddy or not.
There is a FAQ on disks Barry has tested. The disk should be a AV/CE/Surveillance type as low power as possible to fit it with normal USB power specs.
The unpowered caddy has the advantage that turning off the PVR will also power down the caddy.

Guessing you have a HB-1100S rather than a HDR-1000S. If so there is no internal space to add one.
Connection is usb and designed to use a portable usb HDD or as Repassac says a AV drive in an external caddy with usb connectivity.

The external connection is Standard USB.
