    Hello,

I have the following problem with my Humax FVP 5000T box, this problem can happen any time there is no set pattern find that the power to the box just goes, the red light goes out on the box and after a couple of seconds the power comes back on,
Have done a reset on the box but no good have switch the box off and unplugged the power supply and then plug the power supply back it, but no good still have the problem.

Do you think that the power supply has had it. ?

    Any help would be appreciated

    Thanks

    Matthew

Could be the PSU. Can you swap it out with another PSU you have. As long as the output voltage is the same it's worth a try.

Going to struggle to find one with the right plug size. It's a non standard size.

Could this be a regular problem I wonder? I've had my FVP5000t for only a few weeks now and this morning I found it as dead as a dodo. Tried the remote and the standby button on the device to no avail so had to unplug wait a few secs. It came back on then off then on again (?) and seems ok now. No big problem this time (apart from reaching blindly round the back - unlike the convenient power switch on the back of my DTRT2100). But what if it happens during recording....?
Sorry my post is of no help to you Apache - the question is: is it happening to a lot of owners?
ps I can confirm there hasn't been a power cut in the night (Router event log).
