My Sony KDL-26inch is starting to show its age. BBC Red button teletext slow to load. Takes ages to grab signal from 2000T (although my Samsung is ok- so not box.)

I know this will open a can of worms, but any views of the most compatible brand of TV for the Hummy?

If it was me I would be buying the TV I wanted and sod the PVR. A PVR should be compatible with any TV and if it isn't then it's not worth having.

Well I love my 3-year-old Sony Bravia, but given the handshake problem I wouldn't say the 2000T is compatible with it!

I've got a Sony. Handshake problems fixed with a Lindy cec less adapter. You have to manually select the input, but otherwise it's all good.

I understood it was to do with the humax, not the tv.

I bought a second hand Sony tv and it took a while for me to get the sequence right to make them compatible. I have to turn the tv on and then the Humax otherwise I get a picture with no sound. Dunno why but at least I know how to get it to work!
