Can’t restore factory settings

I’ve had my box about a year and a half and last night a mgs ‘somethings wrong’ you hard drive need repairing. I followed the procedure and it came up again, but that as far as I can get, it won’t let me ignore msg or delete recordings or do a factory reset as ‘somethings wrong’ msg reappears

I think that is the Freesat 4K box, which is not a Humax box.
